Day 6
The next day we just relaxed around the resort, playing cards and bags. We also had a nice dinner at the lodge, hosted by Auntie G, with all of the family/friends that were still at Honey Creek.

Day 7
On Monday, the great aunties had a baby shower for A at a cute breakfast place in the nearby town. Then it was time to pack up and head back to the farm for a few more days of relaxing and visiting.

On Tuesday we just relaxed around the farm and had dinner with my parents and the I’s. We had chicken lips and some freshly picked edamame from their garden.

Day 9
On Wednesday, Paul decided that it was time to head into town and check out old stomping grounds. We stopped at the bank where we know a few people that work there. Then walked across the street to the post office. Then we drove down the road to the school where we met up with S the superintendent who treated us to a classic cafeteria lunch of chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, and mandarins. Paul was pretty bummed that we weren’t there for Turkey Gravy Thursday which they still have from when he was in school. We walked around and saw some of Paul’s old teachers and his basketball coach…and of course we had a capture a shot of his Basketball State Championship trophies.
