Paul’s parents (R & D) came to visit a few weeks ago. It was great to get to see them and show them what our lives are like over here in the sandbox. We picked them up on a Thursday night in Dubai and brought them back to our humble abode in KCA.
The next day we went to church and then had lunch at possibly our favorite restaurant in Abu Dhabi which is the Lebanese flower. They have the best shish taouk (excluding Paul’s Weber-grilled specialty, of course). After that we sauntered over to the nearby affiliated Lebanese Flower bakery where people were just streaming in and out buying bags and bags of pita bread. Seeing how popular it was, we naturally felt like we had to buy some. We also bought a few arabic sweets for dessert.

On Saturday, we went to the Grand Mosque and followed one of the tour guides. The statistics they give you really are pretty impressive.

After that, I headed over to N amp; M’s to talk to one of their friends who used to live in Thailand so that I could get the inside scoop on what to do on our trip. Paul and his parents went to the movies and saw
Unknown.
Then it was time to head back to work for a couple of days before we left for Thailand together!
