Once we arrived at Alta Vista, we tried to check in which was a bit of an ordeal as A & B had already checked-in the day before and didn’t specifically tell the front desk to let us in. They didn’t want to let us in until A & B returned (even though we had the paperwork showing we were supposed to be there and we had no idea where A & B were or when they’d return). Luckily, they came back not long after we arrived and found us relaxing by the pool :)

Since A & B had already been there for a day, they recommended that we head down to White beach for dinner. We ended up choosing an Italian restaurant (recommended by family) that was on the beach front for dinner. We had some great pizza and Paul & A experimented with some painfully spicy olive oil.

Day 3
The next day we decided to head to Puka beach which is a “private beach” that our hotel/condo had an area reserved with some shading, beach chairs, and tables. The beach was beautiful! It was just like a postcard of some far-away beach.

| After seeing B's blistered feet from just one day in the sun, Paul made sure to keep his face covered in sunscreen |
We took some photos and relaxed under the shade. Eventually we ordered some fruit shakes and lunch from a nearby stand… garlic prawns, egg sandwiches, and a tuna sandwich with mango & pineapple smoothies and a few San Miguel pale ales (the local brew).
 |
| Lunch! |
After lunch, everyone immediately went back to reading their book of the
Hunger Games series.
 |
| And back to the Hunger Games (B's reading #1, Paul's reading #2, and Amy's moved on to #3) |
 |
| Waiting for our shuttle to come pick us up... can't put the books down! |
After an “exhausting” day reading on the beach, we decided to try out the dinner at the hotel. B got the buffet, Paul got pancit, and I got some sort of Filipino pork soup.

After dinner, there was just one more thing to do…
 |
| Everyone is sure interested in something... |
 |
| Yep, it's the little guy and his grandma :) |
